Throughout his career, Jeremy has practiced in the areas of insurance defense and general civil litigation, where he has represented insurance companies, corporations and individuals throughout state and federal courts in Alabama. Jeremy has successfully litigated a broad range of matters to verdict, obtaining defense verdicts for his clients while demonstrating an aptitude and penchant for courtroom advocacy.
At the firm, Jeremy continues to represent corporations and individuals in the defense of cases involving catastrophic injury, wrongful death, products liability, commercial transportation and trucking litigation in state and federal courts throughout Alabama. He is dedicated to achieving success through hard work and preparation, and believes that courage and integrity should be the foundation of a lawyer’s commitment to their clients and the legal community. After all, “the one thing that doesn’t abide by majority rule is a person’s conscience.”
Jeremy is admitted to practice in all Alabama state courts, in addition to the Southern, Middle and Northern United States Districts Courts of Alabama. He is a graduate of Cumberland School of Law at Samford University where he was a member of Cumberland’s nationally recognized trial advocacy program. Through his leadership role on the trial board at Cumberland, as well as regional champion and national quarter-finalist as a member of Cumberland’s national trial team, Jeremy developed an appreciation for the value of student courtroom training. Years later, when Jeremy was asked to serve as a coach for Cumberland’s national trial team program, he enthusiastically agreed and remains in that role which continues to be very rewarding.
Jeremy began his undergraduate education at the University of Alabama but later transferred to Auburn University where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. While he enjoyed his time at Auburn, he continued to bleed crimson despite the scornful disdain of his fellow Auburn graduates. Roll Tide.
Jeremy lives in Vestavia Hills, where he is the proud husband of Amy, a corporate transactions lawyer in Birmingham, and the proud father of his two daughters, Madeleine and Chloe. When he is not working, Jeremy enjoys exercise, reading and traveling with his family.
